Hi I'm Kevin

I grew up in Redding, California. I'm a therapist, and work with at risk youth in residential treatment. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am an outgoing, fun loving, husband, father, and friend. I love to spend time with my beautiful wife, two beautiful children, family, and friends. I enjoy helping and serving other people as I can. I enjoy fishing, sports, walks with my family, reading the scriptures, yard work, gardening, church, and the temple . I enjoy church basket ball, it is always a lot of fun. I love learning. I am a teaser sometimes, and my wife does not like it, and most of the time I feel bad after words, and end up apologizing which I regret, but it is sure fun in the moment. I have made much improvement, but as most men, I still have a long ways to go. I earned my bachelors degree in communication from BYU-Idaho, and my masters degree in social work, with an emphasis in substance abuse from the University of Utah. I work with at risk youth as a mental health therapist. I love my job, and working with the youth and their families. I learn something new each day at work which I can turn around and use to help and serve others. My wife is a stay at home mom, and she loves to stay home with the children, and I love to be the bread winner of my family.

Why I am a Mormon

When I first met the missionaries, they gave me a copy of the Book of Mormon, and invited me to read it, and pray to know if it was true, and if Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. I accepted their invitation, and read the Book of Mormon, pondered it's precious truths, and fasted and prayed to know if it was true, and if Joseph Smith was a prophet. Heavenly Father heard and answered my prayer, by confirming to my mind and heart that the Book of Mormon is true, and that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. Soon, I was introduced to the young single adults. I now had a whole new family of friends, and fun church activities to attend. Each week, I faithfully participated in the young single adult activities, and home evenings. My testimony became stronger as I associated with the singles and participated in the activities. After I was baptized into the Church, my life was filled with purpose and happiness I never knew before. I chose to fulfill a full time mission. I continue to live the gospel because of the happiness it brings to me and my family. I have a sacred responsibility to teach my children the precious truths of the gospel, and lead my family in truth and righteousness. They are Heavenly Fathers children, and he wants them home to live with him again in families. I want to be with my family forever. The only way I will be with my family forever is to live the gospel. I want my children to be happy. The gospel is a gospel of happiness. I know the gospel is true.

How I live my faith

I have worked in many different assignments in the church. Currently my wife and I are ward missionaries. Also, I am a dedicated home teacher. I love to fulfill my assignment as a home teacher, and am a firm believer in the home teaching program of the church. I love to provide service to all who need help. I have a strong testimony of service, and make myself available whenever I am asked to serve.
