Hi I'm Jared

I've lived in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. I'm serving my mission in McAllen, Texas. I'm A Mormon.

About Me

I am serving a mission in McAllen, Texas. This past year I attended Brigham Young University and will continue school there after my mission. I am in a family of six and I love them so much! I have a younger sister and two younger brothers. My dad was a doctor in the Navy so we moved around a lot when I was younger. One of the more unique places we lived was Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. It was there in the ocean at Guantanamo Bay that I was baptized as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Once my family moved back to the United States, I began playing hockey and football along with continuing to play baseball.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the the LDS church. Both of my parents are members and they have been great examples to me and have raised me in a wonderful environment where I could come to gain my own knowledge and testimony of the truthfulness of Christ's church. I can't imagine what life would be like or who I would be without this church. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has given me hope, comfort, and a sense of purpose in this life. Having this peace and knowledge has truly been my greatest blessing and I wouldn't trade that for anything!

How I live my faith

I have lived in areas my whole life where being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has always made me a minority. A lot of how I live my faith is by example. I have tried to live my life the best I can to exemplify the values and beliefs of Christ and His church. As I have grown up in the church, my parents, leaders, and friends have helped teach me, been my example, and help me increase my faith. Now I am excited to go serve a mission and share with others the joy and comfort my faith has given me.
