Hi I'm Oliver

I live in Coventry, UK. I play the piano. I love cycling. I am a full-time missionary. I am Autistic and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I have many interests, but the main things that I like to do involves Music and Cycling. I play the piano and love doing this. For me, it gives me an opportunity to relax. Playing the piano allows me to open and challenge my mind. I also love Cycling. I like the challenge that it gives me, and the reward that I get afterwards. It gives me an opportunity to see different things, to see the world in a different way and to appreciate the beauty around. I am also Autistic. This means that I have difficulty with some things in my life that others may not necessarily struggle with, for example, I am unable to read body language. On the other hand, there are benefits to being Autistic. I have a really good memory, especially when it comes to remembering pieces of music.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church. As a result, I have grown up with the Gospel. My parents are converts in the Church and they both served missions. Through their example to me, whether that is through the service they do in the church, to how they live their lives, I have wanted to continue coming to Church and develop my testimony further. Being a Mormon makes me happy. Keeping the commandments allows me to become closer to my Heavenly Father and this is when I feel happiest.

How I live my faith

I have been able to attend Seminary for 4 years and I now attend the Institute Program. I have been able to grow and develop my testimony through experiences I have had. I have also spent the last 6 years in the Young Men's program. Through Young Men's, I have met other teenagers with the same beliefs as me. This has allowed me to see how other people my age live their lives, and deal with daily trials. I am now serving a full-time mission for the church in the England London South Mission. This lasts for 2 years. Through serving a mission I will be able to give people the same joy that I have received from living the Gospel and I want to help make their lives better.
