Hi I'm Emily

I'm a wife, mother, and nap-time crafter. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a proud wife and mother of two children. I am blessed to be able to stay at home and take care of them while my husband continues his schooling to become a doctor. At times it can be hard since he is often away studying, but I have a wonderful community of friends and fellow Mormons that help me out! In my "spare time" I love to bake, sew, and craft!! I wouldn't say I have too many great original ideas but I'm an excellent mimic and love to find inspiration from all around me. I love to create new and beautiful things!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I know in my heart that it's true. I was born into a family that were already members and I had the great example of my parents and older siblings to look up to. As I grew older I took it up on myself to read the scriptures and pray to Heavenly Father to ask if the Church was true. I had a very precious and personal experience then and continue to have them now, that I know this Church is true. I continue to have moments in my life where I know Heavenly Father is answering my prayers and knows me personally.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example to those around me. I don't live by many other members of my faith but I try to always strive to be an example of a follower of Christ and treat others the way he would treat them. I try to do this as a mother to my children, to neighbors I live by, and people I see in the community. In church I have been asked to help put on activities for the women in our congregation and it is so much fun to think of ideas! I love getting together to spend time with these wonderful women. We plan things like service opportunities, emergency preparedness ideas, and how to help contribute to our family the most. It's such a blessing to know that no matter where I go, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints will be there and I can have friends to help me out and count on if I need them.
