Hi I'm Jonny

I am a student studying computer programming. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy playing and watching sports like tennis and basketball. I also like to play the piano and sing.

Why I am a Mormon

On January 29, 2012, I went to a combined meeting with the men and women of my ward. Our bishop used an object lesson to teach an important principle. He used a balloon filled with helium to represent our dreams and another balloon to represent where we are now. The second balloon was a "smiley face" balloon which he tied upside-down near the floor. He talked about how we might feel like we could never accomplish our goals because of fear, idleness, doubt, and sin. Midway through the lesson he untied the smiley face balloon and made it go up to the first balloon. When he did that I felt new hope that I could be happy. He also talked about seeing the beginning from the end, specifically seeing the beginning of your life from the end of your life. I felt like I didn't want to be like I was then at the end of my life and felt a great desire to change. Through prayer and other experiences I came to know that God had a reason for sending me to the earth.

How I live my faith

I help plan and carry out activities for young single adults.
