Hi I'm Jamie!!!

I was born and raised in San Diego, California. I currently live in Provo, Utah. I'm an Esthetician. I'm a convert.

About Me

My name is Jamie and I'm a recent convert of the church. I was baptized on December 29th and confirmed on December 30th. Growing up I had no religious background. As I grew older I became more and more curious about religion and what it all meant. I was introduced to the church in August of 2012 and my life very quickly changed. I fell in love with the gospel right away and even though I had question, I still knew that it was true. I've been a faithful member of church for almost 1 year now and I can't imagine like without my Savior. Currently I live in Utah and I'm loving it. I work as a Receptionist and I will begin attending Utah Valley University in Summer of 2014 to pursue Nursing.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I believe and know that Jesus Christ is my Savior. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and that he restored the Church of Jesus Christ to the earth. I know that The Book of Mormon is the word of god. I know these things because as I studied and prayed earnestly for an answer, the spirit testified to me the truth. I'm grateful that I am fortunate enough to know my Savior and what he sacrificed for me. The gospel has changed my life. The joy and peace that comes with living the gospel is indescribable. Someone once said that, "It makes sense that God would keep speaking to us." It makes sense. I don't have any doubts about the church. I know that it's true and that Heavenly Father loves all of us, unconditionally.

How I live my faith

I love my church!! My ward is amazing and I've loved getting to know everyone. I've had a few different calling but my favorite has been being a teacher for Sunday school. I love feeling the spirit and sharing the truths of the gospel. I also love visiting teaching. It's a great way to get to know my sisters in the ward and to be there for them if they need anything. I know that I'm grateful for my visiting teachers and all that they do for me.

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

Jamie!!!
Jesus Christ is the center of everything. It's His name on the Church Buildings and it's His name that is acknowledged in every single prayer ever said. He is the Savior of the world, the son of God and He is with all of us everyday. Show more Show less

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Jamie!!!
I don't just believe that there is a prophet like Moses alive today. I know that there is a living prophet today. Thomas S. Monson is inspired of God and he is the prophet and president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saint. Show more Show less
