Hi I'm Sara Miller

I grew up in Utah, and I love to dance. And, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Kaysville and Lehi Utah, and have been attending a university for the past 2 years. Right now I am studying Public Health and Anthropology. One of my favorite things to do is dance, and I have been clogging with a dance studio for more than 10 years. I have a younger sister who goes to another university, and 2 younger brothers, one of which plays the drums and the other does just about every sport you can imagine. A couple years ago I had a stroke, and since then have had lots of speech therapy and doctor visits, but I'm doing well now and as I have recently returned from serving a mission for my church in California, I am currently attending a university again and working toward my bachelor's degree.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it's comforting. Even when there's something that I don't quite understand yet, I can pray about it and know that I'm heard. I know that prayers are heard, and that they are also answered, even when it takes a while. I love that I can pray and continue to learn about and research the commandments, and eventually know that they are true through the Holy Ghost.

How I live my faith

Knowing that I'm a daughter of God helps me through hard times in my life. If God is my Father and listens to me and cares about me, then what have I to fear? I love reading the scriptures and being able to apply them to my life. I live my faith by trying to do what is right, and by standing up for what I believe in. This Church makes me happy beyond belief, and I believe that everyone should have something that makes them this happy. :)

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Sara Miller
Well, lets see. I go to college. I work at football games and basketball games selling concessions, and I'm also a Teachers Assistant for one of the professors here. I dance, I go on dates, I hang out with friends, I watch movies, I eat LOTS of chocolate, I spend way to much time on the computer, and I don't sleep near as much as I should. Here's what makes me different: I don't drink. I don't smoke. I don't drink coffee or tea. I go to church for three hours every Sunday, and throughout the week I go to activities that my church sponsors. I believe that having sex should wait until your married, and I give 10 percent of my income to my church as a donation known as "tithing." Why? Well, these things make me so happy. I have purpose, I hang out with people who have the same values as I do, and I believe in looking at the bigger picture. I've found joy in doing these things, because through the Gospel I've been able to live my life and make my decisions with God's help. Show more Show less
