Hi I'm Carlie Olson

I'm from a small town in Soda Springs Idaho. I love to be active, creative, outgoing, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student about to enter into the mission field. I like exercising, in particular running and dancing. I enjoy using my creativity to design various projects such as logo's, T Shirts etc. as well as cake decorating, pencil sketching and sewing. I enjoy meeting new people and learning new things such as tennis, and salsa dancing! I originate from a small town and loved what nature had to offer me there. Apart from family and friends, the stars and my quiet backyard are what I miss from moving to a busy college town. I take education and personal progression for myself and every individual as a serious, yet enjoyable and endeavoring task. I live by high standards and strive to be a worthy and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Mormon family and community which is how I was exposed to the LDS church; however it wasn’t till I was fourteen that I came to gain my own understanding, testimony and love for the gospel of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. As a teenager I first started applying the principles of the gospel to my life and I could see how directly it affected me and brought true joy into my life. There are many faiths and religions in the world. Many of which can help bring you closer to God; however I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only true and restored gospel upon the earth (see Joseph Smith History 1:18&19) I know the doctrine, principles, and covenants taught within the LDS church are true. I have gained my own personal testimony of these things through praying with sincere desire to know. Not only did I come about my testimony by asking but by searching to find my answer as well. Also, I testify that anyone can come to know of the truths of which the LDS church teaches, and would invite you to do so, for nothing else in my life has brought me more peace and comfort, a better understanding of the purpose of life and individual potential, and more happiness and pure joy than has coming to know God through being an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I like to live my faith by letting my light shine (see Matt: 5:16) Ways I like to do so are through participating in service projects, being honest, keeping the commandments, abiding by the high standards of the church, participating in institute classes, and by being a good example. I am sociable and love making the effort to reach out to others, to be inviting, welcoming, and a friend to all.
