Hi I'm Aimee

I'm from Colorado but I'm living in Novosibirsk, Russia as a missionary! I love adventure and I love the Gospel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Who am I? If you were to ask my friends who I am they would probably tell you that I am a little quirky. I don't like to wear shoes and sometimes I eat bugs. It's for fun. I love to be outdoors. My favorite things to do are hiking, backpacking, or really anything adventurous. I love to paint. I would almost classify myself as an amateur artist. I often wonder if more paint ends up on the paper or on me. I love life!

Why I am a Mormon

To me being a Mormon makes sense. The doctrine is simple and it follows the teachings of Christ in the Bible. Also, the gospel of Jesus Christ gives me reason to hope. I know that I make mistakes, without Jesus Christ and his atonement I would never be able to return to my Heavenly Father. But, Christ did atone for me. So I have the opportunity to return to heaven someday. God loves us each individually and he has provided a way for us to return and live with him. I know that God lives and he loves me. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer. I know that the gift of the Holy Ghost is given to help us choose the right. I love the Holy Ghost and the peace it brings to me. I know that Thomas S Monson is the prophet today and he has been appointed by God to lead us just as God appointed prophets in ancient times. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. God worked through him to restore God's Church. I know that the Book of Mormon is given by God and that it testifies of Christ. I know that I can live with my family forever. Which for me is the greatest blessing of all. I love my family. And I love my Heavenly Father. I am part of a church that brings me great joy. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I think there are many ways to "live my faith". Right now I get to serve an 18 month mission for the Church. I'm so excited! I get to go to Novosibirsk, Russia! For me this is the perfect opportunity to live my faith. I get to share what I know about God and his plan to everyone! However, I didn't have to wait until I got my mission call to live my faith and neither does anybody else. It starts by trying to be a little more Christ-like than the day before.
