Hi I'm Alexis

I'm serving a mission in Ecuador I'm a college student, and I'm a Mormon. "I Know it, I Live it, I Love it" Sister Dibb

About Me

I am a 19 year- old student at BYUI (Brigham Young University- Idaho). Right now I am accomplishing my general studies for I have not yet decided what field I want to pursue as a future career. I will return to school after serving an 18 month mission for the Church in Guayaquil, Ecuador. I was on a bowling team in high school and continued a little through my first year of college. The greatest joy in my life is my family. I come from a family of six, with two brothers and a sister. I am the second youngest child. I enjoy singing (when nobody can hear me), dancing, camping, boating, snowshoeing, and pretty much anything outdoors. My dream in life is to be married for eternity in the house of the Lord. I also dream of having a family of my own and being a mother.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the church and was immensely blessed to have been born of goodly parents who set the example for me. This life is not easy by any means but I have not found one principle of this gospel that has not in some way, benefited my life. We are definitely tried each and every day, but it gives me peace of mind knowing that I am a child of God and that he only wants what is best for me. It is so comforting to know that he is there and will never leave and is always willing to listen and answer my prayers. I love having the knowledge that there is a life after this and that all of my loved ones who have passed will one day be reunited. I love this gospel and love the precious gift of repentance and the a surety it brings to know that we can always progress and never fall short of our Savior's divine grace. This church was restored and is the only true and Living church. We have the huge blessing of a prophet on the earth to guide us and direct us as well as his apostles. They have the precious keys of the priesthood to perform saving ordinances. We also have temples throughout the world that seal families together forever.

How I live my faith

This church provides many opportunities to serve one another. Whether it be service projects, helping babysit children, doing odd jobs for the elderly, or even cleaning the church. I love that there are always opportunities to serve those around you and the beneficiary aspect of knowing you helped someone in need and also the love you develop for those you are serving. If we look to the example our Savior set we can definitely see that throughout the whole time he was Earth he was helping and serving others. In order to become true disciples of Christ we must do likewise by loving one another.(John 13:35)
