Hi I'm Brant Adams

I'm what you would call a southern boy, raised in the Carolina's. My heart is in the lowcountry. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a single guy, off my mission and out of school. I'm currently working as a professional Audio/Visual geek out of beautiful downtown Charleston. I think I can say with confidence that I live in the prettiest city in the country. I've been a member of the church all my life and I've been blessed with a wonderful family who have helped me and encouraged me with everything I've been through. My parents were converts to the church when they were teenagers, and their stories of faith and perseverance have continually inspired me throughout my life. I enjoy a wide variety of things, from music and movies to hanging on the beach and admiring old houses. If I have any real passion in life I'd say it's performing, whether it's singing, acting or just being goofy in front of complete strangers. Haven't exactly done it in a while, but hey, I'm always looking for an opportunity to embarrass myself!

Why I am a Mormon

As I've mentioned, I've been a member of the church all of my life. I always believed everything I was taught growing up, but I wouldn't say I really knew it was all true until I was young adult. I remember very distinctly kneeling down and asking Heavenly Father if this was His true church on the Earth today, and the confirming feeling I received was all I needed to know for sure that this is where I belonged. Since that time, I've tried very hard to keep that testimony alive by living the Gospel as best I can. I have by no means been perfect, but I'm grateful to my Savior Jesus Christ for making up in what I lack. By trusting in Him and living by His words and perfect example, I have been able to do things I've never thought possible. I know I'll always have trials, but I can endure them thanks to the simple knowledge that my Savior lives and loves me.

How I live my faith

I've been active in the church all my life and have held a number of different responsibilities. I've done everything from teaching small children, to teaching adult children and even working at a computer for a while. No matter what calling I've been given, I've always considered myself blessed for the service I've been able to provide. I served my mission in Ogden, Utah and there I learned a lot about taking myself out of the equation and trying to focus on the needs of others rather than myself. I've worked very hard to apply that philosophy in all of my responsibilities in the church as well as with my relationships with family and friends. If anyone stands in need of something, and it's within my power to do something about it, then I'll try my best to put my faith into practice and serve them.
