Hi I'm Simon Whitfield

I am English. I write novels and I work in digital forensics. I'm the adopted father of two children.

About Me

I work hard as a Digital Forensic Investigator by day, helping law enforcement and the Courts to track down and proesecute those who have committed crimes. I studied at the University of Central Lancashire, where I am now a Visiting Fellow. In my spare time I write thriller novels (under a pen name) along with the occasional poem. I love being a Dad to our two adopted children.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are members of the church, but I took the opportunity to find out whether it was all true at around the age of eleven. I felt a calm assurance that the things I had been taught in my youth were true. Since then I have learned a great deal about the scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon. I could talk for hours about all kinds of fascinating parts and passages of that book. It really is remarkable. It isn't always easy to live by the principles we learn, but I feel better and happier when I know I'm doing what God wants me to do. He speaks comfort to my soul frequently, confirming that he is there, that is is our Father in Heaven, and that he knows and loves all of us.

How I live my faith

I try to participate in a Down's Syndrome Support group in the area in which we live. In addition I currently serve in church by helping church members and their families, making sure those in need are visited frequently, and that any needs of our members are met.
