Hi I'm Andrew

I have fun. I can be serious. I am quiet with a gentle disposition. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a friendly Scot. I have 5 super-brilliant siblings. I am single but have a wee laddie of my own.

Why I am a Mormon

My dad was 24 and had 2 children back in 1969. He thought there must be something better in the world for his 2 small children. He saw neighbours slam their doors on the missionaries. My parents talked with the missionaries and investigated The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Needless to say they found that something better. My mum says that I loved to pray as a child. I felt very loved growing up with a big family and church was a key part of our lives. I was taught to find out for myself if the church was true or not. I felt it was right but as a teenager compromised with my conscience - I went down a destructive and dishonest path. I rebelled and transgressed - harming my spirit, body and mind. I was inactive for 7 years but a combination of heartache and illness brought me to my knees once again. I know Heavenly Father answers prayers and He loves each and everyone of us. I studied and asked if the Book of Mormon is true and can tell you with certainty that it is. I have a spare copy of it for those that are interested.

How I live my faith

I am currently studying the New Testiment with the Young Single Adults. I find these lessons inspiring and I can feel the Spirit with us as we learn. I attend Church, paying close attention to the speakers and have on occasion taught lessons. I admire the missionaries and like to assist when they teach investigators. I particularly like sharing what I know to be true and following promptings by the spirit. I have developed a lot of love in my heart as a parent, son, brother, uncle and friend. If I can help someone in need I will almost certainly take that opportunity. My family has been there for me in times of need so out of gratitude and apprecation I try to help others.
