Hi I'm Arianna

I'm a chemistry major. I love high adventure activities, especially scuba diving. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a student studying chemistry, specifically clinical laboratory science. I love studying science and hope to one day improve medicinal technology. I have always lived by the water and I enjoy all water sports, especially scuba diving and wake boarding. Creating things by sewing, pottery, mosaics, and other mediums is one of my favorite ways of relieving stress. Halloween is my favorite holiday because I love the creative costumes and spooky decorations. Music is my sanctuary and my family is my most priceless treasure.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born into a Mormon family, and for most of my life I followed after the testimony of my parents. I always believed the church to be true and never truly questioned any of our beliefs. There were so many beliefs that just made sense to me that I never felt the need to question or seek any other religious beliefs. The important beliefs to me are eternal families, latter day prophets, modern day revelation, and knowledge of a life before earth. Knowing that I was a child of God was a principle that I grew to learn and love as a teenager, because that meant I had a Heavenly Father who loved me and cared about the decisions I made in my earth life. I had a time of struggle in my life that cause my testimony to grow. We all have a point in our lives that we must choose which path we will tread and depending on what we tread it could affect our future paths. After much trial and prayer, with my Heavenly Father's help, I finally was able to choose my path. This path lead to my decision to serve a mission and to serve and teach others. I am forever grateful for this time in my life that caused me to lean on my Savior and to seek His help. I know that without my savior, Jesus Christ, I would have a feeling of loss and no way to return to my Heavenly Father's presence. I am grateful for the power of the Atonement and for the healing power it contains. I will continue to always live the gospel because it is my source of joy and peace in a world of sorrow and trial.

How I live my faith

My family and I were always active participators in church activities. If there was any church activity, you would always find our family there, especially at the Halloween trunk or treat! I have had a variety of church calling experiences ranging from working with toddlers in the nursery, the 6 year olds as a primary teacher, to a teacher to the women in the Relief Society. I have also attended religious classes called seminary and institute that have helped me gain additional gospel knowledge. I also like to read any additional gospel books, like Jesus the Christ, to further my spiritual knowledge. I really enjoy teaching others about the gospel, which is why serving a mission was the perfect opportunity for me!
