Hi I'm James

I'm Australian. I play the piano. I like to laugh with friends. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am the youngest of nine children. I also have several nephews and nieces. I was born and raised in The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. I enjoy listening to music and playing piano, and I hope to be able to learn the Cello. I also have an interest in the technical side of computers and technology. I plan to go to University and study Computer Systems Engineering. I also want to learn how to speak Spanish and how to sign Auslan. I generally like to try and have fun whenever possible, and often this is demonstrated by my apparent lack (or complete lack) of maturity. My family certainly helps with this, as we are all very funny people (even if I do say so myself).

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, but growing up did not always believe that it was God's true church. It wasn't until I was in my late teenage years/early adulthood that I truly came to know for myself that this is the true church. I came to discover this by reading from the Book of Mormon and following the counsel to pray and ask if the book was scripture from God. As with anyone, life hasn't been a smooth ride all the way through. I often questioned my self-worth, and I doubted at times if I would ever feel like I belonged anywhere. It wasn't for a lack of friends or support, but that I didn't know what I wanted to get out of life, and where I wanted to go. It was only through coming to know my Heavenly Father that I was able to build off of a solid foundation. From there I started to make small changes in my life. Each change brought a little bit of happiness to my life. That firm foundation has given my life direction and purpose, and I know what I want to do with my life. So in short, I guess I'd say I'm a Mormon because Heavenly Father loves me, and He has given me what I need to be happy in this life. He has blessed me with such amazing family and friends. It is through his love that I am the person I am today.

How I live my faith

I attend Church every Sunday. I have taught a few classes as I have gone, but not often. Every two months we spend a few hours caring for the grounds of the building as well as the building itself. I also served as a missionary in the South Dakota Rapid City Mission.
