Hi I'm Addison

I love a day out on the lake, I live to play sports, I currently reside in Zambia, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up very engaged in physical activity. I lettered in Football, Basketball, and High Jump during high school. I also was apart of student government, along with that I sang in the school's A'capella Choir. I am currently living in Zambia where I am sharing the gospel as a full time missionary. When I return home I will begin studying business/marketing.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a home raised by 2 Mormon parents. My mother is a converted Catholic, while my Dad has ancestry in the church dating back over 100 years. Growing up I had many temptations, but I seemed to always overcome them, even in the hardest of battles. I am a member of the church because I chose to do so! Many people believe that those born into the church continue in it just to follow our parents, and that is not necessarily so. Through my own studies and prayers I have come to know that I am a child of God. He holds his children to very high standards, and his church will enforce that. I am a member of the church because I know I am a child of my heavenly father, and he wants the absolute best for me, and the only way I can have what is best is by learning and LIVING his correct teachings, which are only found in his church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is hard to follow the Lord, but it is fully worth it for the reward to live with him again forever.I know the church has been restored to the earth by the Prophet Joseph Smith, and that we are led by a prophet today. If we pray, I know our Father will hear us and answer us. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is God's kingdom on earth, preparing the way for the 2nd Coming of his son.

How I live my faith

Growing up I found myself very involved in weekly church activities. I attened youth activities each Wednesday night, as well Seminary Classes outside of school multiple times a week. I love to have a good time, but I do so without alcohol immoral activities as they are not a way to represent my father in heaven. I am currently a full time missionary for the church where I am LOVING the opportunity to share the gospel to the people of Zambia and Malawi.

What do Mormons believe about “eternal life?”

Addison
We believe that if we obey the Lord and do the best we can to follow the path of righteousness, we will one day inherit the kingdom of our Father in Heaven, and all that he has. We believe Heaven is more than a place; it can be instead known as a "fulness of joy", the greatest eternal reward. Hebrews chapter 1 speaks on how Christ was made "even better" than the angels. Then as Romans 8:17 says, we are "joint-heirs" with Christ. We believe we to can inherit far greater rewards than the angels if we obey the principles and ordinances of this life, and endure to the end. If we can overcome the worldly temptations and put or focus on our Fathers Kingdom, then we will be ready to one day inherit it for ourselves, and live there with him forever. Show more Show less
