Hi I'm Josh

I grew up in TX, love to play guitar, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 20 years old and have lived in McKinney, Texas for most of my life. I enjoy music, playing guitar, and spending time with friends. I am currently serving in the Brazil Juiz De Fora Mission!

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been Mormon. I grew up in the church and have participated in all of the activities that the church has, such as boy scouts. The church has always brought happiness to my life and I want it to stay that way. I figure that if I was lucky enough to grow up with the gospel in my life, then I should always do my best to keep it in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to emulate the character of Christ. I always ask myself what Jesus would have done if he were in my situation. It can be challenging at times with all of the temptations that the adversary places before us but if we act with faith, we can receive blessings and have the lord on our side.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

I have many friends who struggle with their faith in God. They say that God doesn't answer their prayers, even when they earnestly pray and read the Bible. My answer to this question would be that their is a lack of action occurring. People know that the church is true through the influence of the spirit. Faith = hope + Action. You can have all the hope in the world, but if you do not try to change your life and keep the commandments, the spirit cannot dwell with you. Its not enough to just pray and hope for the best. A change of heart has to take place. Show more Show less
