Hi I'm Elder Horne

I'm from New Hampshire, I love life, and I'm a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the eldest of four children, I have two brothers and a sister. I have lived in rural New Hampshire for almost all my life and absolutely love it there. I was one of few Mormons in my high school, so people noticed that I was different and that lead to many wonderful conversations about the Church. Most people describe me as sincere, honest, and kind. I love to learn and I'm currently serving a mission in South Texas. I want to go to college to be a mechanical engineer at Utah State University after my mission. I also love learning Spanish. English is my first language, but I love being able to share the gospel in a different language. So it is quite a blessing that I get to speak Spanish while on my mission. The Lord definitely loves me! I love being outside and seeing the Lord's creations all around me. I love to create and build, I've found that it draws me closer to Heavenly Father. I have a love of music and singing and praising my God through song; it is another form of prayer. My life is very busy, but with the gospel of Jesus Christ, my life is so full of joy and peace all the time.

Why I am a Mormon

I have had the luxury of being raised in the Church, so it has always been there for me. My parents are converts and are the only members in our immediate family. While there are doubtlessly blessings in a multi-generational family in the Church, I wouldn't havve it any other way. I love all of my family dearly and they have all taught me much, however I can see the difference that the Church makes in my life, and in my family. My parents were definitely my exposure to the Church, but I stay because I love the Lord. I feel His love daily and I know that He is pleased with me. I have gone through many trials with my family and personally, and it was my faith in Jesus Christ and His love that carried me through. I know that He has a plan for me, and that I am willing to follow it. I have been blessed countless times, and I know that He is there and that if we do our part, He will provide.

How I live my faith

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is a message of love; love of our God and for our fellow men. That love is integral to my faith and how I live my life. I live my faith by trying a little harder to be a little better every day. I seek out opportunities to serve and show that love through action. I love sharing the Gospel with others as well; the Gospel is the greatest thing I have in my life. Because of that, I offer it to whomever will listen.
