Hi I'm Jason Keith Dodge
I grew up in central Oregon. I run, ski, sing and play lacrosse. I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I love good music, eating salmon and running. I grew up in a beautiful place called Bend Oregon but moved to a small town in Southern New Hampshire and have been missing Oregon ever since. I have been called to serve in the Nevada Las Vegas West mission for two years. I'm enrolled at BYU-Idaho with an undeclared major. I am hoping move back to the north west and start a career writing and performing music. I am an Eagle Scout. I used to be a competitive Nordic skier and have competed at the state level. I am learning how to play lacrosse. I also like to longboard, act and sing.
Why I am a Mormon
I have been a member my entire life but I stay with the gospel by my own free will. I am a Mormon because of the fellowship that the church provides and because I want to be sealed in the temple for time and all eternity. I know that this church is true and that I have a father in heaven that loves me no matter what, even if I turn my back on him. He is forgiving and loving and no matter what stupid things I've done, he is always happy to have me come back to him.
How I live my faith
Most of my church callings have involved planning and carrying out activities so in a way I live my faith by having fun and making sure everyone else is having fun and feeling welcome and loved. Friendship has always been something that's very important to me and I strive to be a good friend to all my friends. I also participate in athletics to show my father in heaven that I appreciate the strong body that I have been given and I take time to be alone in nature to enjoy the beautiful world that I have been sent to live in. I hope to be able to live in such a way that my influence and example will be a blessing to other people everywhere I go.
