Hi I'm Carlos

I am from Rancho Cucamonga, California. I am currently serving a 2 year mission in Brazil, Fortaleza. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 18 years old and am currently at the Provo MTC going to the Brazil, Fortaleza mission. I was born LDS and have been active for all of my life. My mom was born into the church also but my dad used to be Catholic but was baptized into the LDS church. I finished highschool and was about to attend BYU-Idaho but then the missionary age changed from 19 to 18 so I prayed about it and came to the conclusion that I needed to serve a mission first and here I am. I used to play basketball when I was younger and I did cross country and track in highschool. I love the outdoors and the beach. I also enjoy eating all kinds of food.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I have a strong testimony of my Heavenly Father and his Son Jesus Christ. I know that they love me and know me personally and they have given us this restored Gospel because of that love. I have prayed and asked for many things and asked to know for myself certain things and have always gotten an answer. This Gospel has given me the most joy in my life and this is why I chose to serve a mission. To share the most beautiful thing I know to everybody I can.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be more like my Savior Jesus Christ. I strive to be a better person each and every day. I am far from perfect but I know that through Jesus Christ we can become better people by repenting of our wrongs and trying to be the best you can. I have served in callings with the youth of the church and have learned so much. I have also organized events such as activities and dances for the youth. I am also an Eagle Scout so I am very familiar with service. For my Eagle project I restored a hiking trail in Glendora, California. Being an Eagle Scout has taught me so many things from always being prepared to being an effective leader.
