Hi I'm Stephanie Woods

I grew up in North Ogden Utah, I love anything to do with the outdoors, I have the most amazing family, and im a Mormon!

About Me

My name is stephanie, I grew up in good old Utah, and I love it here. My family is super outdoorsy so we get out a lot on fun vacations. We own a cabin in Mt. Pleasant and go there often. We also share 2 cabins in Island Park Idaho and love to take trips up there. But my favorite place that we go would have to be Lake Powell. I could honestly live there. We have a house boat that we share with 4 other familys and get 2 weeks each summer to use the boat. It truley is my favorite place on earth. I played lacrosse for four years and also played a little soccor. The reason im making this profile is because I have recently been called to serve a mission in the Japan, Kobe area. Im very excited.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in to a very amazing and strong LDS family. I do not have one profound story of when I knew for certain this church was true. Instead, throughout my life and the struggles I’ve gone through, I’ve had it confirmed again and again of the truthfulness of this gospel. I am not exempt from having trials in my life, the death of my cousin was probably the hardest moment in my life, but instead of allowing my sorrow and pain over come me, I turned to the Lord for strength and uplifting. It was a defining moment in my life and I have never turned away from the love the Lord gives me each day. This gospel has given me so much, I honestly don't know where I would be without it. It gives me strength to push forward each day, even when I feel the weight of the world on my shoulders. I couldn’t ask for better parents, they raised me so well, they gave me the gospel and that is the best gift I could have asked for.

How I live my faith

In my singles ward in Logan, I was called as a ward missionary. I would go around with another sister in the ward and talk to our neighboors to see how they were doing and if there was anything they needed help with. It was a great experience.

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

Stephanie Woods
As a future missionary, it’s good to know where my expenses will come from and how to prepare for it. Missions are usually paid for by the missionary and their families. The families transfer money to their Bishop who then transfers the money to its appropriate destination. In the mission field, the missionaries are provided enough money each month to buy food and other necessities. Any spending the missionary wants to do on souvenirs or other things, comes directly from their own account. I hope this helps. Show more Show less
