Hi I'm Natalie

I grew up in Idaho. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am nineteen years old. I love to play soccer with my brother and friends as well as ultimate frisbee. I usually play the positions of goalie and wing in soccer. At school I was on an intramural team with my brother, it was good to spend time with him. I am currently going to college at BYU and I plan to major in chemical engineering. I am the youngest of seven children, five sisters and one brother. I have ten nieces and nephews who I love to visit when time permits. I love to read. I prefer science fiction and fantasy, but all reading is a delight.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the church because I know that the gospel that it teaches is true. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior. He suffered in Gethsemane so that I may be forgiven of my sins if I confess and forsake them and so that I can turn to Him with whatever problem, or pain that I could possibly experience. I know that he died on the cross so that I can live again. I know that Joseph Smith saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ on His right hand in the sacred grove. I have witnessed the power if the priesthood that was restored to Joseph Smith through John the Baptist and Peter, James and John. I know that the Bible as well as the Book of Mormon are the word of God and that if anyone reads them with a pure heart and real intent and they pray to the Lord they too may know the truth of these sacred books. The gospel of Jesus Christ is true. He loves us and Heavenly Father loves us. All they want is for us to do all we can to follow their commandments and repent when we falter. If we do this we can live with Them again.

How I live my faith

In my ward at college I was the activities co-chair which means that I organized events for the members of my ward. For example, we had a ward bowling night, a couple of dances and talents shows, and many other such activities. I really enjoyed my calling because I was able to work directly with the bishopric as well as get to know many people of my ward better through my calling. Also, when I was a youth, I was often in the presidency of the different classes within the youth program which gave me the opportunity to get to know the other girls better and to also work with our adult leaders.
