Hi I'm Amy

I was born and raised a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints along with my 5 siblings.

About Me

I've been studying biochemistry at university and I'm now coming to an end of this degree. During my second year of studys, I met a wonderful man and within not so long we decided to get married. We are planning our future together right now, I have no idea where we will live or what i will do as far as a career goes but I have faith that The Lord will guide me the right way.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I was raised a Mormon from birth I still had to be converted. It's not good enough to just go to church because of your family. It was during my years as a youth that I felt the gospel was truly something I wanted to live for the rest of my life. I had been doing a few things I knew I shouldn't have, and was starting to feel the consequences of those things. One night I knelt down and prayed to my father in heaven for forgiveness and strength to do what was right. I felt the spirit come over me letting me know I was going to be ok, and that I already knew what to do, I just needed to do it. Obviously I'm not perfect and slip up every once in a while, but I know that I am able to repent and receive forgiveness for my sins. I also know I have the gospel there to remind me of what I can do to prevent me for going too far astray.

How I live my faith

I am one of the leaders in the youth programme at church. Within that role, I teach the girls on Sundays about different gospel principles and help to organise activities for them to do on Tuesday nights. It's so great to see their testimonies grow. During the summer, when I have more time, I like to go out teaching with the missionaries. It's great to meet new people and have the opportunity to share my beliefs with others.
