Hi I'm Sam

I grew up outside of Seattle. I like computers. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I study Computer Science in college, and still have a while before they will give me my degree. It is amazing the effort I make to get that thing. I spend many hours on computers, I like it, but the gym keeps me in balance. I work right now on my school's website team. We are using all sorts of stuff that might bore you if you never have programmed a computer. Its actually really fun once you understand it. For those who do though, Microsoft Sharepoint 2010 fights with JQuery, and that is pretty much the hardest mental thing I do nowadays. I am trying to learn how to play the banjo after my Mom surprised me with one on Christmas. I love my Mom. I speak Spanish, and English. Chinese would be fun to learn, but I haven't gotten the pronunciation down yet. Hope I can stay with it. I am in to cars, especially when they add something technologically awe-inspiring. I am especially fond of the Bugatti Veyron's 16-Cylinder engine. What a car! I have apple tree outside of my house, and we have blueberries, strawberries (provided the local squirrels stay out of the garden), raspberries. If you put a batch of strawberries in front of me I will eat all of them. I like Thai food, and Mexican food the most. I love America, you can always find anything you want to eat, at almost any hour, it is sweet.

Why I am a Mormon

I converted slowly. I was baptized at age 8, and felt at the time that it was the right thing to do. I felt good during that experience, I really did feel the Holy Ghost telling me that what I was doing was right. The interesting thing is that the knowledge of the gospel, unlike any other knowledge on the earth today is that Satan will fight you about it. I know and knew the gospel is true. I can honestly say that I am still converting though, I am imperfect and have sinned and will sin until the next life. That is why I need the Savior and his gospel, that is why I am here is to learn through faith all of these things. I am a Mormon because that is why we are here, is to learn and live the gospel of Jesus Christ. I need to be a Mormon for that reason. I am happy as I fulfill my purpose in life, the gospel keeps me happy and molds me to be a good person. So be a Mormon, talk to missionaries, get started, start feeling the Holy Ghost. You will know that is absolutely the truth and absolutely know why your here, where your going, and where you came from. That's why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to serve others, as this is "True Religion." I really like the Book of Mormon, and always have at least one copy near by. I have way to many copies, so if you ever see me, you are welcome to one. I love the Bible, especially the New Testament. The Old testament has a lot of priceless pearls in it, but man some sections are hard to stay focused on. They do however provide a great alternative to sleep aids. You will be bored into your alarm clock the next day. I have way too many Bibles as well, so again, you are welcome to one. I live my faith by repenting, and remembering that at the end of my efforts, it is always up to the Lord's mercy and grace to get me back on my feet. I serve as a member of my group at church, since I'm in college, it is a group of about 30 college aged young men, we are assigned to visit others in our congregation and teach each other the gospel. I love it.
