Hi I'm Cody

I love to play soccer, I will be serving a mission in Seoul, Korea. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was captain of my high school soccer team and it's my favorite sport. I was a Student Body Officer and organized my school's Thanksgiving Dinner for the Homeless and Sub-for-Santa drive. I spent the last year attending college and had the most challenging and fun experience of my life. This Summer, I depart to serve a two year mission in Seoul, Korea for the LDS Church. My goals upon returning are to graduate from medical school and become an orthopedic surgeon. I want to take the talents and knowledge I acquire and use it to perform medical missions and help out others.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the happiness and light this gospel brings me. I have had very trying times in my life and lost loved family members, but I find peace knowing that families can be together forever. I know that by the grace and mercy of the Atonement of Jesus Christ; death, sin, and pain can all be overcome. I know in my heart that this is Heavenly Father's restored gospel, it is completely and totally centered on Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten of God. I have felt that mercy and joy in my life, and I can't deny the blessings that come with being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Our challenges and trials don't go away, but our burdens are made light and our faith is strengthened. I promise and testify that the peace and happiness we all search for in life is found right here. I am a Mormon because it is the only way that I can find true joy. It's that simple.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through doing all of the little things. I read my scriptures, and pray sincerely to God for help and guidance in my life. I go to church every Sunday. I love to go to the temple and feel the unbelievable peace that can be felt there. I enjoy being involved in service and giving up my time and abilities to helping others. The Mormon church couldn't function, and wouldn't be God's church without the service the members are asked to provide. I have been called to serve the people of Seoul, Korea for two years. I hope to act as a representative of Jesus Christ, and teach every person I come in contact with of God's love for all of His children.
