Hi I'm Leah Black

I grew up in Idaho. I want to help people by going into the medical field. I love giving service. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Utah and moved to Idaho when I was 4. I love living in the country. I have 3 brothers and 1 sister. I have always wanted to serve others, preferably through the medical field. I am a CNA, and am working towards my RN degree. I currently attend Brigham Young University-Idaho. My goal is to make a change in someone's life. I enjoy bringing light into my friends and family's day, especially if they are going through a hard time. I always try and see the good in every situation. I am a life-long missionary!

Why I am a Mormon

I have felt the love of our Father in Heaven, and I know that this is His church. I have been in situations where I have not had the gospel in my life, and I feel so empty and alone. I never want to feel that again. This church and the teachings of the gospel help so much in the daily aspects of my life. To know that I can repent of my sins and be forgiven is a huge blessing. To know that I can be with my family into the eternities, and see them again after this life--who wouldn't want that? To know that we have a prophet on earth today to whom God speaks, to know that we can look to him for guidance in this troubled world, that is a comfort. Much of who I have become is because of the teachings of the gospel. I definitely would not be as happy as I am if I didn't know these things, and I wouldn't be where I am now, serving a mission, helping others return to Heavenly Father. Why am I a Mormon? Because I know that this is the true church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and if we follow the teachings found therein, we can return to live with our Father in Heaven again someday.

How I live my faith

I go to my church meetings every week, and I had the opportunity to teach Sunday School in my ward. I try to always be there when someone needs to talk, or when they're feeling lonely. I help the sisters I visit teach, and help them to know that they are always loved. I just returned from serving as a missionary in the California Long Beach Mission. I love the people, and I love the area. I want to share with others the knowledge that I have of this gospel, that they too may come to know that they have a loving Heavenly Father who wants them to return to Him. I have been able to feel of His love for them while I served Him, and I hope that I have been able to convey that love to everyone I met. It's sad to see that there are people who don't believe that there is a God, and that they think they are alone. I am here to testify that NO ONE is alone! There IS a God, and He loves all of His children. I am here to help them be able to return to live with Him someday.
