Hi I'm Karen

I'm married to my high school sweetheart, a mother of three handsome boys, and I love music and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I married my high school sweetheart, and I am a mother to three handsome boys. When I was little I used to love to dance and I still do! I love music and I have always been involved in choirs and I am currently practicing the piano. Music has always been a huge part of my life and it has made my life so full. I have two amazing parents and I am fortunate enough to have come from a big family. I have seven siblings and I love them all dearly. When I gave birth to my third baby boy a couple of years ago, I finished my bachelor's degree online through BYU Idaho where I previously attended. It was extremely challenging being a full time mom and a student at the same time, but I am so glad that I persevered and finished. When I was a little girl, I was diagnosed with epilepsy. I can not begin to describe how this affected me as a child, but I can say that gradually I was able to outgrow my seizures. I have felt the power of healing and truly Heavenly Father was watching out for me and answered many prayers. I met my husband in my high school choir, he was a bass and I was a 2nd soprano. We became best friends and the rest is history. I like to play with my children and we like to go to amusement parks for fun.I love anything Disney, and like to watch old movies. I am so grateful for my rich and full life. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is very important to me. I am a Mormon! I know it, I live it, and I love it!

Why I am a Mormon

My family has a strong legacy of faith. I have ancestors in my family that crossed the plains and showed tremendous strength and courage. Having said that,I am a Mormon because I have found the truth all on my own. That is what makes the gospel so great, it so individual and personal. Having that strong Mormon background in my family sure has helped my faith grow, but I have read the Book of Mormon on my own. I prayed to Heavenly Father and asked for the truth on my own. I fasted and prayed about the prophet Joseph Smith on my own. In short, I have learned for myself that the gospel is true, and I feel closer to my ancestors now that their strength has become my strength. I am Mormon because I believe in a loving Heavenly Father who gives us answers about the truth only if we ask in faith. I am a Mormon because I know that He sent his son Jesus Christ, to come redeem his children so that we may all live together again. The gospel is true and I am eternally grateful for the knowledge that I have.

How I live my faith

Because I believe in Christ, I try to show him everyday how much I love him. In the scriptures it says that if we are serving others we are serving God. This is how I try to live my faith. Serving my family is my number one priority.Along with serving my family, I feel so blessed to be able to visit with my friends who live in our ward. I love being able to follow our Savior's example of showing others friendship. I live my faith everyday by praying, by inviting the spirit in my home, by serving, and by thanking my Heavenly Father for all the blessings in my life.
