Hi I'm Jacob

I'm a student, gardener, and hiker from Utah. Soon to be a full-time missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My best times are spent with my family. Though I was away at college for the last year, I liked to visit home often and play with my brothers and sisters or work in the garden with them. I like sports, especially basketball and soccer, and playing the piano and cooking.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church, in a family that encouraged my faith. Still, the choice to be a part of the Church or not has always been mine; I stay with the Gospel because I know it is true. I have experienced the witness of the Spirit that the Book of Mormon is true and that Jesus Christ is the savior of the world. My intellect and feelings are more than satisfied by the gospel and I can easily see through my past that life is so much better when I live by the precepts of the church. I have never regretted following the prophet.

How I live my faith

My faith is a very personal thing and I spend a lot of time alone pondering, studying, and praying. But my relationship with God can't be right unless I treat His children right. I think that begins with my family, being respectful and compassionate and working hard for them. At school last semester I played hymns for my ward on the piano and was called to watch out for and help several other members in the ward. Now, I get the chance to live my faith by sharing it: devoting all my time for the next two years to sharing the gospel with others and helping them to receive the same blessings I do from Jesus Christ.
