Hi I'm Aaron

Reader. Skater. Music enthusiast. Everyone's favorite pony-loving fire bender. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving a mission in Eugene, Oregon. I return home in May of 2015, and afterwards I will head up to BYU-Idaho with my best friend (who is serving his mission in Santa Maria, Brazil). I like to skateboard, read, and I love nearly all kinds of music.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 16, I decided that I no longer wanted to be a member. The church didn't suit the kind of life that I wanted to lead. As soon as I stopped attending everything in my life started to go wrong. After about a year I decided that I wanted to talk to my Bishop and get is advice on a few things (not for any religious reasons, but I had known him about six years at that point, and considered him a friend and knew he wouldn't go blabbing my problems to anyone who asked). After our fist meeting concluded, he suggested that we start meeting once a week to discuss things that were going on. A few weeks passed, and at one of our meetings he suggested a scripture for me to read. It was Alma chapter 32. A scripture about faith. I went home and read it, and it hit me harder than anything has in my entire life. I decided that I wanted to change, that I NEEDED to change. I wanted to come back. Eight months later, and here I am serving a mission in the Lords Church. I want to help someone find the happiness that I have found in the gospel. I want to save someone. Just as I was saved.

How I live my faith

I am a missionary for the church. I am giving up two years of my life and spending my time trying to help others find the truth of the gospel for themselves.
