Hi I'm Jenny

I grew up in St. Louis. I am a university student studying international development. I love to travel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to write, travel, and study other cultures. My dream job is to work in international development focusing on child welfare and child rights. So far I have done research on child soldiers as well as NGO evaluation in Gulu, Uganda. I am currently a missionary for the church serving in the New England area.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I believe that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true. There are a lot of details in this world and even in this church that I don't understand. I do know, however, that God loves me. I know that I have felt His influence and guidance in my life. I know that I am blessed as I follow the commandments, and I know that this gospel is a gospel of second chances, infinite love and eternal joy.

How I live my faith

While sometimes it's difficult to roll out of bed on Sunday mornings and attend the 3 hours of church, it is always worth it. It's a blessing to get to take the sacrament every Sunday and to learn from others at church. I love meeting other people in the congregation who have varying backgrounds, political beliefs, and interests but nonetheless are committed to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Everyone in our church is assigned a service to do for our congregation; I get to teach the women's group in my church every few months. I love teaching because it allows me to learn more about my own testimony and develop it as I present it to others.
