Hi I'm Larry

I'm a retired computer engineer. I love books (non-fiction), family history, and physical sciences. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born (1945) into the church in Utah and baptized in 1953. I have always loved learning (more empirical than theoretical). I served a church mission in Brazil while still a young man, and more recently a part time mission in Church History (my spouse in Family History). I played percussion in secondary schools and studied math/physics at BYU. I drifted into electronics and computers and am also currently a radio amateur. I was in the Air Force during the Vietnam conflict, but never visited that country.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up actively being a Mormon (Latter-Day Saint), but didn't receive a testimony of the Book of Mormon until at the beginning of my first mission when I prayed about it and received an unmistakable spiritual witness of it's truthfulness. In my older years I seem to have more gentle spiritual impressions and feelings than I generally did when I was younger.

How I live my faith

I continually try to live the teachings of my religion: avoid alcohol, tobacco, addictive substances, immoral behavior or influences etc. Our religion is service oriented, a lay ministry. My spouse and I will be going on a mission soon to a mission office in Ohio.
