Hi I'm Steven A. Borget

I am from Utah. I am a business owner and an accountant. I am an avid golfer. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college graduate with a BS in Accounting. I am an avid golfer who has played competitive golf for the past 30 years including The US Amateurs at Pumpkin Ridge and Pebble Beach. I coached intercollegiate golf for five years. My business partner and I own a business with seven offices along the Wasatch Front and Park City. I have three children one lives in Austin, Texas with his wife and two children. One lives in Minot, North Dakota with her husband and son. The other lives at home. I love movies, riding motorcycles (road/touring).

Why I am a Mormon

I am so greatful to be a Mormon. I chose to live by the gospel standards and follow the council of Jesus' holy prophets and apostles because of the many blessings I have received from living the gospel. I was born of parents who were Mormons and they taught me from a very early age. One of the things most dear to me is the doctrine of free agency. I was taught that I needed to gain my own personal testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This could only come if I made the effort (reading, studying, praying) and excersised faith and then listened in my heart and spirit for the answer. This I did and although it was not easy and not immediate my small portion of faith has grown with continued reading, studying, has inreased to a much larger portion. Im many years of service in the church, I am so impressed with the mission of the church and its leadership, to bring families and individuals unto Christ.

How I live my faith

I am currently assigned to serve in a congregation comprised entirely of students who are married. My assignment is to train the young students to be leaders and followers of Christ, so that they can go forth upon graduation to serve others wherever they may be living. It is so rewarding to young people with the light of Christ shining forth, eager to learn and to serve.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Steven A. Borget
The way he blesses His children and answers prayers. As we come unto Him he supports us in our trials. All of us will experience hardships and challenges in this life and through my life as I have put my faith in Him all of my prayers have been answered all be it in His time. Some prayers have been answered instantly and others have taken many years. I know that he loves all of His children and is quick to bless them. Show more Show less
