Hi I'm Ben

I grew up in CT and moved to Utah as a teen. I'm a student at BYU, I love sports, and being outside. And I'm a Mormon!

About Me

First of all, I love being outside. Skiing, basketball, football, golf are among my favorite activities. I'm the only brother in my family. I'm often spending time with my friends. I'm also a student at college, which has been an awesome experience. I'll beat anyone in FIFA (soccer video game), and also enjoy moutainbiking. I'm a huge Laker fan and also play piano.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family, and have been taught these principles as long as I can remember. However, I have come to know of this gospels truthfulness completely independent of anyone else. As I have tried acting on what I have learned, and truly had faith, believing that these principles could bless my life, I have come to know of this gospels truth! Following these principles has made me happy, I have avoided many of Satan's pitfalls, and gained knowledge of eternal significance. Obviously, life is still hard. There have been many challenges. But whenever I face these challenges, I'm grateful I have the gospel. Turning to the Lord in prayer has helped me feel peace through even the most difficult of times. The gospel has been an aid in my life. I'm a Mormon because I know this church is true. Anyone can know it if they have the desire and exercise faith with a sincere prayer. I"m a Mormon because I know that this Gospel is the only thing that provides true and lasting happiness. I'm a Mormon. I know it, I live it, I love it!

How I live my faith

The gospel has played a huge role in my life. Living the gospel has provided me lasting happiness, strength in trials, peace and assurance that can't come any other way. The same could be said for anyone who abides by gospel principles! Currently, my calling in the church is to be a home teacher. I have had the experience to visit ward members each month to say hello, see if I can help in anyway, or teach a brief lesson. I have also recently been called to be a full time missionary. I have received a mission call to serve in Australia, Melbourne mission Vietnamese speaking. I have never been to Australia so this should be an awesome experience! I look forward to learning the language and being a full-time missionary. I'm especially excited to share the gospel that has meant so much to me and played such an active role in my life. I know that the messages missionaries share are messages of eternal significance and messages that lead to true happiness! I'm a little scared, but I can't wait!
