Hi I'm Linda

I have taught Special Education for 28 years. I am a mother of 3 and live in Salt Lake City, Utah. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love working with children. I am a mother and grandmother. I love to read, sew, cook and travel in my spare time, when I am not teaching school or spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I love my Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that he has given me His gospel that I can have a richer fuller life, both here on earth and in the life after this. The atonement is the greatest gift I have ever received or ever will. It gives me comfort and peace that I can return and live with my Heavenly Father someday. I love reading my scriptures. They give me such insight into what Jesus Christ wants me to do and be. I know that I have free agency to choose how to live my life, and I choose to do it as a member of the Mormon church.

How I live my faith

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints, we do volunteer service. I enjoy working with and teaching the children in my Church. They are so sweet and want to learn, which makes it a joy to be a part of their lives. I also enjoy the friendships I have gained while participating in my church. I get together with other members and go to dinner and enjoy their company.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Linda
Many members of the lds church choose to serve missions, but not all. I have never served an official mission. My daughter, however, is serving, however my other children did not. It is purely a voluntary activity which is richly rewarded through the individuals faith and desires. Many members serve in other ways as well, and enjoy sharing the gospel in more informal ways.
