Hi I'm Robert

My home is in Alpine. I grew up in Lehi, Utah.

About Me

I was raised in a area that was mostly agriculture and as such we all had chores to do. We still have animals and ground to take care of, I enjoy the work. I was a banker for 39 years and enjoyed that also. The important things in my life are My wife and Children the Church and being involved with young people. The Church has given me so many opportunities to learn and to grow I cannot even guess what my life would be like with the church. We love to hunt and to camp and to run the Snake River. I enjoy horses and cattle and all kinds of livestock. The outdoors and a very big part of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

My family came to Utah with the Saints and helped to settle Utah valley. I was raised in the church I have watched many people over the years that have not lived the gospel and those that have the ones that lived the gospel seem to be happier and have a greater ability to forgive and give of themselves. Some years ago I knew that I would have to find out for myself if what I had been taught was true. I read the Book of Mormon I fasted I asked the lord if the Church was True and I received an answer. If the Book of Mormon is correct then Joseph Smith has to be a prophet. He restored the true church to the earth under the direction of the Lord(why not it is his church). I am a Mormon because I know that the church is true and that if I follow it teachings I can again live with my Father in heaven. The Church is so simple and if you look at the teachings of the Savior in the Bible they are simple too. The church makes me a better person and gives me a way of live.

How I live my faith

My wife and I have been called to the Uganda Kampala Mission and are very excited to go we leave in June. I cannot remember when the Gospel was not the center of my life I served a Mission to the Eastern States it we a great experience and my faith in the Lord Grew more than I could even explain. The Gospel has been the center of our family and the guide that my wife and I have used to teach and direct our family. I try to live the principles each day and have the faith I need to carry on. I know that Jesus is the Christ and He is the Son of God, He is the great example to us all. I try to follow that example each day of my life.
