Hi I'm Devon Trop

I'm serving a mission in St Louis Missouri and loving every minute of it. I'm an aspiring actress. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I was born in Oklahoma City, lived in Sunnyvale, California for a few years, but was mainly raised in Draper, Utah. I've wanted to be an actress for as long as I can remember. I've been able to go to New York and participate in an intensive working with some of the best on Broadway. I previously went to school at Dixie State University, but after I get back from my mission to St Louis (woo hoo!), I plan on transferring to University of Utah.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. It was what was expected of me. Through peer pressure and not having a firm foundation of my own, I fell away for some time during high school and college. I ended up moving back home one summer and it was expected that I go to church. Rather than argue with my parents, I went. I started just going through the motions. Pretty soon, I realized that something actually got to me, and I started feeling a stirring in my soul. I did a lot of soul searching and studying and found out for myself that this is the true church. I am a Mormon because I know that this gospel is true. Without, my life is in shambles with no direction. I am a Mormon because it brings peace, comfort, and direction to my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving the people of the Missouri St Louis Mission. I have chosen to serve the Lord for 18 months by inviting and helping my fellow brothers and sisters learn about the gospel and grow closer to our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Being able to be a witness while people are discovering the Gospel is a blessing that I am so grateful to have.
