Hi I'm James Benjamin Smith

I grew up in Sin City and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a young adult trying to do my best to listen to the quiet whispers of my Heavenly Father while living in an enormously loud world. I do my best to juggle life's three greatest challenges: work, studies, and dating. I served two years serving our Lord and Savior at the best of my ability in South America and grew to love the beautiful country of Peru and the people He put in my path. I've come to love to play soccer and be as active as I can. I grew up playing a lot of video games which I feel have thrown askew and altered my perspective and views on life and now I try to see through the lies that the adversary throws at me. My interests as a kid and teen have lead me to be particularly interested in studying and exploring the grand mysteries of the universe and take my college career towards the study Astrophysics. I have been born of goodly parents, and therefor I was taught somewhat in all the learning of my father; and having seen many afflictions in the course of my days, nevertheless, having been highly favored of the Lord in all my days; yea, having had a great knowledge of the goodness and the mysteries of God, therefor I make a record of me!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know it contains the fullness of the Gospel. It is truth. Although many questions come up I keep myself patient and wait for answers. They have always come, and when I have least expected them, and I know they will always come.

How I live my faith

I have been extended the calling of Ward Missionary Leader and work along side the Full Time Missionaries that serve to all singles in my part of town. Part of my responsibility is to teach any visitors and all new members of my ward the Principles of the Gospel. At home I try my best (there's always room for improvement) to live the teachings of Jesus the Christ and of the other prophets that our Heavenly Father has taught to teach His word to us. I love to invite the spirit and it's light in my life. Light is so much more dominant than darkness, that light comes from living the commandments of God.
