Hi I'm Kate Moore

I grew up in Utah, I'm the youngest of three children, I'm serving a mission in Arizona, and I love life:)

About Me

I am serving in the Phoenix, Arizona mission right now and it is a wonderful experience bringing people closer to Christ:) I attended Weber State University as an Interior Design Major before leaving on my mission. My family means everything to me and I'm so grateful to be able to know that I can spend Eternity with them. I am a swimmer and I taught swim lessons and lifeguarded for four years before my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because waking up in the morning everyday and knowing that I have a purpose is the best feeling. I've seen friends fall away from the church and I don't think they are as happy anymore. The church makes me happy. I love waking up everyday and knowing that even though I may feel alone, my Savior is always next to me helping through the day. It's nice:)

How I live my faith

My faith is something that is very important to me. I love my faith. I live it by going to church, studying God's word, trying my best to come closer to Christ, and praying. I try to share the light of Christ with everyone everyday when I go anywhere by loving everyone I meet.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Kate Moore
Oh heck no:) Mormons help anyone who will accept the help. We do so much service all around the world, we just don't gloat about it. Show more Show less

What is the First Vision?

Kate Moore
Joseph Smith was a fourteen year old boy who had a question. He didn't know what church to join and at the time there were many churches around. He read in James 1:5 "if any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God," Joseph Smith decided that if anyone needed wisdom, it was him. He found a spot in a grove of trees and prayed for the first time in his life vocally. In his words he decribes the experience: "I saw a pillar of light exactly over my head, above the brightness of the sun, which decended gradually until it fell upon me...when the light rested upon me I saw two personages whose brightness and glory defy all descriptions, standing above me in the air. One of them spake unto me calling me by name and said, pointing to the other, "This is my beloved son. Hear Him!" Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph Smith and told him to join none of the churches. He got his answer! Show more Show less
