Hi I'm Megan

I'm a college student, a dancer, a red head and a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Rexburg Idaho by a large blended family. Five children from my dad's first marriage, three from my mom's first marriage, one from my mom's second marriage. To make the family even more complex, after two years of marriage I was born and two years later my younger sister. The two of us became the "ours" in this confusing "yours-mine-and-ours" family. It's been a journey growing up with ten siblings, and currently 24 nieces and nephews! It's not always easy, but it's been worth it. I love to dance and have tried every style I can: ballet, jazz, hip hop, ballroom, latin, folk, swing, krump, character, and conemporary. This last year I completed my first year of college at BYU, where I was a member of the BYU Ballroom dance company. I'm currently studying Sociology, mainly because I can't get enough of people and their life stories. People are just fascinating and i'm a firm believer that we are affected and can affect those around us! Besides dancing, family and friends the gospel is a large part of my life. I'm a Mormon and I couldn't be happier with my life!

Why I am a Mormon

Nothing in my life has brought me more happiness, peace, or comfort than the knowledge that Jesus Christ is my Savior. Knowing a loving God is constantly there listening to my sometimes pitiful cries for help and forgiveness, brings comfort into my life that I can't find anywhere else. For me that painful feeling of loneliness comes easily, and the wonderful thing about this gospel is that in my loneliest moments I KNOW that I have someone to turn to. God and Jesus Christ are always there to listen to me. When my mom won't answer her phone, or I don't want to talk to a roommate or a boyfriend. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are there to listen to anything I have to say. And by showing my faith through prayer I am blessed with peace and comfort through the spirit. Through the atonement, Jesus Christ understands first hand everything that I am going through. Which means that I can't find anyone on earth that would be a better listener than Jesus Christ. I know that the power of prayer is real. I have felt the spirit through the hardest times of my life. I have seen first hand in my family the blessings that come from living this gospel, and the heartache that can result from disobeying God's commandments. The gospel brings so much meaning into my life. It gives my life purpose, hope, and guidance. I know that the church is true -- and I wouldn't choose to live my life against it's teachings. There are too many benefits to being a Mormon

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon is about the lifelong journey to become more like our perfect brother Jesus Christ. I choose to live my life in a daily attempt to improve and perfect myself. I love the mentality of helping one another, learning from our mistakes, and starting again the next day. Helping one another is what really matters in this life. It's what Jesus did! I believe that I need to do all I can to be the best person I can be and help everyone I can along the way. By making something of myself I can give even more to others. That's why i'm choosing to get an education, develop my talents, and someday become a wife and mother. I want to learn all I can in any area so I can share my knowledge with others. Within the church I have served in leadership positions, where I help bring people together for activities to make friends. I also love visiting fellow women within my neighborhood to chat and help them in anyway I can. Currently i'm on an 18 month mission in Milwaukee Wisconsin. Where just like Jesus Christ I'm teaching people about His gospel and how to come unto Him. I choose to live my faith by following Jesus Christs' example best I can. Especially his example of serving others by building relationships with those around me. His gospel is truly what makes us happy.
