Hi I'm Nicolette

I'm from Colorado Springs. I'm majoring in Special Education. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student, studying Special Education. I plan on specializing in Autism and working with young adults who have this condition. I love to write stories, it's a nice stress reliever for me. I love to bake, especially sweets. I have two brothers, one older and one younger, who I am very close with. I am completely in love with animals. If I could own them all, I would. I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints my whole life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know this church is true. While reading the Book of Mormon I feel the Spirit so strongly, testifying to me that it's true. The teachings of this gospel have helped me so much as I was going through school. Holding myself at a certain standard and having the members of the church be so supportive were really a strength to me. I've seen how much happiness the Gospel of Jesus Christ has brought to other people's lives, and my own. Being a member of this church has made me a stronger person, and ultimately a better one. I know Jesus Christ died for me, so that I may return to Heavenly Father. I know Temple marriage is important in the Plan of Salvation and I know this church is true.

How I live my faith

I attend all my church meetings, every Sunday. I have had callings teaching my fellow young women and visiting them on a regular basis. I have also taught the children in my ward the principles of the gospel. I also helped put together the Christmas Nativity Scene at my church which was open to the public.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Not all Mormons are required to serve a mission. Those who serve choose to and can serve for a period of 18 months for women and 2 years for men. Married couples and retired seniors can also serve if they choose to. We are taught to spread the gospel to those who haven't received it yet and we feel it is a privilege to share what we know to be true with those around us. Show more Show less
