Hi I'm Heidee

I love to sing. I love the color purple. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have finished one year of college, and and am going on a mission this summer. I love to spend time with my family, playing games, watching movies, and making food together. I love math, music, literature, and learning new languages. Flowers make me super happy, and I love how beautiful nature is. I love to sing and make music, by myself and with those around me.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints ever since I was eight years old. I grew up in the church, and it is a part of who I am, and a part of how my family operates. I can't imagine how different my life would be without this church. Even though I grew up with the gospel, I still have had to choose to follow it every day of my life. Some days it is really hard to put one foot in front of the other and keep on going, when all I want to do is give up and fall down. It is at the end of those days when my testimony of this church, my testimony of Jesus Christ and his restored gospel is the strongest. On the days when everything should have gone wrong, on the days when it is all I can do to not burst into tears, on the days when I feel so incredibly alone, I know, with all of my heart and soul, that He is there. Not only is He standing there beside me, watching everything I do, He is guiding me, lifting me, saving me. My strength is not enough on days like that. Nothing I can do will help me get through those hard times, but His power, His love, and His grace are always enough. There is no trial in this life that the power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ cannot overcome. I know that to be true, and I testify that He will always be there for us, we just have to ask for his help.

How I live my faith

Every week I attend a New Testament class with my favorite teacher ever. I get to talk with my friends, learn more about the scriptures and the gospel, and most importantly, feel the Spirit. On Sundays I get to go to church and listen to talks that also help me to feel the Spirit. As a part of my calling, I get to help plan activities for the girls in my ward, and to talk with three other girls about things we can do to help everyone come to church and be actively living the gospel. I read out of the Book of Mormon every day, and that helps me to feel peace and to know that God is watching over me. When I pray, I try to really believe that God is listening, and it helps my prayers to be more sincere. I try to pray for those around me that I see might need help, and I try to do the things Jesus would do in being kind to everyone and helping those in need.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

We believe that God has given us everything we have in this life. He has given us so much, and only asks for a part of it to help further His work. We donate tithing to help build church buildings, and temples, and to make the blessings we receive from being in the church available to people all over the world. Show more Show less
