Hi I'm Zachary

I grew up in Canada and love to have fun in whatever way possible and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

When I was a child and growing up I always wanted to be an artist and like most children I wanted to be famous. I thought that I would be the most famous artist in the world. Drawing was my world. As I progressed through my life I found other ways to have fun. Helping others was one of those ways that I found joy and happiness. Whenever I serve/ served others I feel happy. So when I discovered service and helping others I found myself. I didn't all together lose my passion of art but I use it as a hobby now. In fact I have a colouring book up in the works and I am hoping that one day I will get it published. Right now I have taken two years out of my life to serve a volunteer mission. I am serving in the Canada Winnipeg Mission. It truly is the best way for me to help others. I am serving God and I am truly helping his children.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love God. I know with my heart that God is there and it has been proven to me in many ways. When I look out my window, I don't just see a place where people live, I see a beautiful world that God created for everyone. Knowing how much He loves me individually keeps me going everyday. Because of him, I am able to be the happiest person. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following in the footsteps of Jesus Christ. I strive to be like him. I read my scriptures daily and I pray to God at least twice a day, so that I may keep in contact with my Father in Heaven. Service is what this church is all about, so I try to help out other members of the church as often as possible and whenever I can.

What is the First Vision?

Zachary
The First Vision was one of the biggest events in the history of the church. Joseph Smith, who was just a young boy of 14, was confused upon which church to join. In those days there were many churches and they all taught things that had some similar aspects but not many. One night as Joseph was reading from the bible he came across the scripture of James 1:5 which says, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him." This was the answer to Joseph's question of what church to join, he would pray to God and ask for himself. The next day Joseph went down to a grove of trees, where it was nice and quiet, so that he could pray to God. As he finished his prayer God the Father and Jesus Christ came down from the heavens and told Joseph not to join any of the churches. They also told him when the time was right that Joseph would receive the power to restore the one true Church of Jesus Christ back upon the Earth. Show more Show less
