Hi I'm Britain

I like sports, being with friends, and traveling. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Senior in college and I am studying Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education. I love spending time with my family and friends. I love to travel and go on adventures. I spend most of my time doing school work and learning as much as I can. I have been called to serve in the Charlotte North Carolina mission and will be serving for 18 months. I love being active and doing things outside. Basketball is my favorite sport and I also love playing softball.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I was baptized when I was eleven years old. My dad was Catholic but my mom was a member. I would go to church with my grandma who was LDS and I always loved it. One night the sister missionaries came to our door and they talked to us for a while. They came by everyday for about 3 months. One of the sisters finally asked my dad if he would be baptized and I felt the spirit so strong that I knew that being a member of this church was what I was supposed to do. My dad and I were baptized on the same day and it was a neat experience to share with him. I wanted to be a member because friends that I had who were members seemed so happy and I wanted that. I wanted to be a good person like they were and I wanted to be with my family for eternity. I knew that I would be able to see my family again in the next life. I am grateful to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

My faith is very important to me and it is at the center of my life. Everything I do helps me become a better person. I go to the temple every week so that I can feel the spirit through the week. I help organize activities in my ward every week. I help organize lunch at the institute every Thursday. I also visit a few girls in my ward to make sure they are doing good and to see if there is anything I can do to help them.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Britain
Husbands and Wives can live together forever not just in this life. Members of the church believe families can live together forever in heaven if we come unto Christ and do what he has asked of us. We must be baptized and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. When we marry, we need to be sealed in the temple to live forever with our spouse. Death is not the end. When parents are sealed in the temple, their children are then sealed to their parents. Show more Show less
