Hi I'm Samantha Ballantyne

I love to have fun with friends, Going to the lake, Hiking, Photography and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am 22 years old and I love to be outdoors. I love Camping, Repelling, Wake Boarding, I love being behind the camera and I am a Mormon. When I was younger I really struggled with figuring out who I am or should be. Image is a lot and I was not "perfect" and I didn't have a perfect relationship family and it was difficult. Family is so important to me and I wanted to live in the perfect little family with the perfect house and perfect whatever! Well Guess what! Life is not perfect, in fact... its hard and once I realized that everything fell into place. I have relationships in my family that are so tight knit they can not be broken. That is just one tender mercy from God. I learned how to rely on God and and how his influence helps me move forward with faith. I went to university for 2 years and than worked as a shipping manager and than I worked as a paralegal for a law firm. I knew that I needed to do something more with my life instead of getting stuck behind a desk. After many prayers I knew I needed to go on a mission. Within a week I turned my mission papers in and 2 weeks later I had my mission call to the Canada Edmonton Mission. Serving God for 18 months was one of the greatest experiences I could have ever had! He lives.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church but there was a time I had to choose whether I wanted to continue living my life with the standards of the church. It came down to my testimony. Do I know that God is Real? I had to ask myself this question and than I found myself on my knees asking God. I didn't have this great big thing happen. I Didn't see God or angels but I felt something in my heart and I knew it was true. I want to raise my family with the beliefs that I have and I want to raise them with the standards that I know and love. I am forever changed and I love the knowledge I have gained and will continue to gain.

How I live my faith

Everyday I live my faith. When I wake up in the morning, I say a prayer. When I go through out the day I try my best to be my best and place my best foot forward. Something my Mom taught me was to be happy in all situations. Sometimes it's hard. I struggle just like the guy down the street or the the girl next door but God had never left my side and... he never will. I constantly find myself on my knees or in the scriptures searching for answers and he always answers.
