Hi I'm Lisa

I was born and raised in Bountiful, Utah. I love art, sports, music, and family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a very typical family with loving parents, siblings both older and younger who constantly found ways to get on my nerves, but who also constantly found ways to show their love for me and others. I grew up watching all kinds of sports and eventually went on to play lacrosse on my high school's varsity team. I also grew up doing all forms of art. This skill has given me a different eye into the world we live in and the beauty that is all around us. I've had the great opportunity to travel to many different countries and have been able to see the beauty of this incredible world that we live in and appreciate the different cultures, peoples, and values of those that inhabit this earth. I currently am a senior in college, studying to get my bachelors degree in family studies so I can continue on in fulfilling my dream of becoming an adoption worker. I hope to help children gain a family and family experiences like the ones that I have been blessed with.

Why I am a Mormon

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has brought me so much unspeakable joy into my life! The principles and truths taught in this Church bring peace, joy, and love to my life. Particularly the principles taught on the family and it's role and destiny in our lives. We believe that families can be together forever, which is something I want more than anything in the world. My family is the most important thing in my life and I would do anything tot have the opportunity to live with them forever. I believe that this gospel can bring people closer to Christ and can help get us through the problems of life. I believe that Christ is our Savior and that he died for each of us on this earth so that one day we may be able to live with Him, our Heavenly Father, and our families for eternity.

How I live my faith

Through my membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I have had the opportunity to serve in many capacities in the Church. I have had the opportunity to serve with and lead a group of young girls, in which I would help them grow strong in their beliefs and also help them feel comfortable, loved, and welcome in our group of members. I would help organize events and activities that would provide service opportunities and faith-building exercises for the girls I was over. I was able to serve these girls multiple times throughout my 8 years that I was part of the the "Young Women" program. I was also able to serve as a teacher to the children of my ward. I helped these children understand the very basics of what our Church and its members believe. I currently am preparing to serve as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus-Christ of Latter-day Saints. Through this, I will be leaving my family, friends, my home, and everything I know and love to go and serve the God that I love more than anything in the world. I will give of everything I have in unselfish service to help bring more of God's children to the knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I hope to help the people I serve understand God's love for them, their divine nature and individual worth, and the plan that God has for them individually.
