Hi I'm Ann Marie

I am a single mom. I find joy in everything! I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love science and math! I have a degree in Physics and I tutor and/or have tutored Physics, Chemistry, and Math--from elementary algebra up to differential equations. I have taken a break from college to be a mom which is why I tutor to help my memory. I like to sew, bake and be creative.

Why I am a Mormon

I love this gospel! I love this church! I have never been happier than when I live the way the Savior did during his mortal ministry and the way the prophets have commanded. The peace and love I feel is indescribable and at times incomprehensible. The Lord truly loves us and blesses us! Those blessings come after we are obedient not before as does the knowledge that this church is the Lord's true church on the earth. This faith first principle has been a little hard for me in the past but as I have learned to do what is asked I see the blessings and knowledge come. Living the gospel has made me a better mom and person than I could have ever tried to be without the Lord's help.

How I live my faith

I work with the children at church. I love it! They teach me so much! My daughter and I have family home evening every Monday where we have lessons that go along with what the children are learning at church to reinforce those principles and to let her know that the lessons are true and living them not just hearing them is very important to me. We read from the Book of Mormon every day. We say our prayers together as a family and by ourselves every morning and night. We always try to act the way the Savior did when he was on the earth--with love, patience, kindness, understanding, humility, etc.

What is being a Mormon like?

Ann Marie
For me being a Mormon is the best and only way to have peace and joy in my life. There was a time in my life when I left the church because I thought people doing what they wanted to do and not keeping the commandments were much happier. I was wrong! Heavenly Father wants us to be happy and to have joy! The commandments are not to restrict us in any way but they are a way to show us how to be happy. Jesus Christ lived that example and showed us the way. I thought it would be hard to turn away from all that I thought would bring me joy and keep the commandments but what I found was that the world had nothing to offer me and all the joy and happiness I want and need comes from fully living the gospel of Jesus Christ! There are still hard days but even on those days I know where to find real joy! Show more Show less
