Hi I'm Nathan

I'm a Mormon! I live in South Jordan Utah and attend BYU provo.

About Me

I love to play sports and be active. I attended BYU provo this last year, but now I'm getting ready to serve a mission to New York New York North, spanish speaking. I love hanging out with people and doing fun things.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the LDS church and have attended church meetings with my family for as long as I can remember, and this is how I was led to be baptised. However, this is not what made me continue to be active in the church; I have felt the confirming witness of the Holy Ghost in my life and I know and can say with conviction that this is the true church of Jesus Christ on this earth. A couple summers ago, I was visiting a friend in California, having a great time and enjoying the beach. On the final day I was there, we were surfing and I caught a bad wave that threw me down about 6 feet right on my head on the wet sand. I was quickly taken to the emergency room and given a neck brace, but they said it would be alright. However, follow-up scans were conducted, and they found a malignant tumor in my head. The doctors told me that if I had not caught this tumor in time, it probably would have killed me. I know God was looking out for me and that he saved my life because I still have a mission to fulfill in this life. I also felt his love and tender mercies throughout the 9 months of chemotherapy that followed, and I know that he was watching out for me. Before I began, I was given a powerful priesthood blessing promising me a full recovery, and I am now cancer free. I know without a doubt that this is the true church on this earth and that Jesus Christ suffered and died for my sins and everyone in the Garden of Gethsemane, and that if we live worthily we can return to live with God in heaven again.

How I live my faith

I am very active in my ward and try to participate as much as I can. I have in the past been in various priesthood leadership roles along with being a counselor, and I was most recently an instructor in sunday school. It was very rewarding to be able to teach and preach these simple gospel truths to this room of brethren and feel the spirit present as we all learned together. I have also recently been able to attend the temple a lot more and I can feel the blessings that are coming because of it.
