Hi I'm Tanner Nelson

I love music, science, and the outdoors and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I'm and avid outdoorsman. Because I've grown up surrounded by mountains, I spend almost everyday in them. I love to do all sorts of outdoorsy things like Mountain Bike, Hike, Backpack, Rock Climb, etc. I also love music. I play a variety of instruments such as the Banjo, Bass Guitar, Trumpet, Drums, Piano, Melodica, and a little Guitar. I feel that music is a way to express the words that we can't speak. Particularly from the Holy Ghost. I recently returned from a mission the Melbourne, Australia. It truly was the best two years of my life. It has shaped me and will continue to shape me into what my Heavenly Father wants me to be. I'm currently studying at Weber State University. I'm an Electrical Engineering major. With a lot of school in front of me. I'm striving everyday to fulfill what my Heavenly Father has in store for me.

Why I am a Mormon

I love this gospel. I know that it is true more than I know anything else because the Holy Ghost has manifested it to me. We can't possibly know anything of ourselves through man's devices and limited knowledge, but because of a loving Heavenly Father we can know what is true through the power of the Holy Ghost.

How I live my faith

I always try to live in harmony with the Spirit in an effort to represent our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in everything I do. This includes frequent scripture study and prayer on a daily basis with the service of others always on my mind. Along with attendance to church meetings, family scripture study, and family home evening. Aside from the logistics, I strive to have a personal relationship with my Heavenly Father by learning about and following His son, Jesus Christ. I'm trying my best to connect with the people I meet on a personal level so that I can help them feel of my Heavenly Father's love as I know I have.
