Hi I'm Esther

I was born in Cambridge, studied in Manchester and work as a nurse on a colorectal surgery ward. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love doing anything active and gets me out and about playing sports. I love punting and going on walks in the countryside where I live. I love being around people and having fun. I love spending time with all my family - they are the most important people to me. I work hard as a nurse for the NHS where I enjoy being able to spend time with people in some of their darkest hours and try to help them through it. I love learning new things. I love learning more about my saviour, Jesus Christ, and I love going to church.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church but never really internalised the messages I grew up learning about and listening to. When I left for university and went through a hard time in my final year, it felt like I had hit a 'rock bottom' moment, it was then that I turned to the Lord for help through prayer and he looked after me. He answered my prayers through the scriptures. I began to truly believe the messages I had always been told and they held new meaning for me. I felt my Heavenly Fathers love and can't deny the experiences that have happened to me. I believe in Jesus Christ, I believe that this is his church and the Book of Mormon testifies of him.

How I live my faith

I go to church each Sunday and help look after the toddlers of the ward whilst their parents are in other lessons. I also help conduct the music during our main meeting, the sacrament meeting. I love spending time with other people my age from church and we meet each week to study the Bible and Book of Mormon. I am about to go on a sabbatical from work to embark on an 18 month mission for the Church.
