Hi I'm Jansen

I grew up in Nampa, Idaho. I am serving a mission in San Fernando California. I am a Mormon

About Me

I have grown up in the church since birth. I love snowboarding, mountain biking, volleyball, baseball, soccer, tennis, football aka pretty much every sport. I attended BYU-Idaho for a year before I got my call to San Fernando California and leave for the Missionary Training Center June 5th. I am looking forward to serving the people of southern California and excited to find people who are looking for the truth.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know when I read the words of prophets long ago and our prophet and his apostles today, that they are mouthpieces of the Lord. The receive direct guidance in what to say to us so that we as a people may live our lives in righteousness. When I make mistakes, I slowly get more depressed towards myself and others and many people see this in my life. With the gospel that I live, I know that I can repent and be forgiven of my sins. When I repent, my sins are forgiven by the Lord and I am happy with who I am and I feel love towards my Savior and those around me. There is no other church on this Earth that has the power to do this properly. Only through the Lords hands are our sins forgiven and we can live with him again after we die. I feel my Saviors love in my life through those people around me and when I do the right things. I am more happy with who I am and how I am living with my life because I know that if I am ever lost in a decision or need guidance on what progressive step I should take, I can turn toward towards Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ through prayer and they will hear and answer my desires if I am living the way I should be.

How I live my faith

I was a president for the young men while I was 15 for the teachers group which is young men aged 14 and 15. I helped with inviting those that were not coming to church in our group to come to activities and events that would help them feel welcome in church. I was the leader of a summer camp for our stake young mens group where 150 young men came up for 3 days and we had very good spiritual experiences and helped one another become closer brothers in the Lord. I was awarded my Eagle Scout at the age of 15 when I sanded and painted bleachers to the softball field at the LDS church building that I attended when I was a kid.
